StrataGrid™
StrataGrid™
Slope & Vertical Structure Reinforcement
Stratagid™ is a unixial geogrid used for soil reinforcement in embankment construction over soft soils. It distributes loads, decreases settlement, and offers a stable foundation over voids used as a stabilizing feature. Its high tensile strength guarantees embankment stability and structural integrity, allowing for safe construction in difficult soil conditions.
A versatile solution that can stabilize steep slopes and enhance the structural integrity of retaining wall systems in any project that involves mechanically stabilized engineered walls or slope reinforcement. In its application, geogrid helps to transformed once unstable terrains into safe and usable areas. In addition, it plays a vital role in preserving the environment.
Stratagid’s™ design consists of high-tenacity polyester yarn ends being wound into a cylindrical beam that acts as a durable and sturdy precursor to the coating process. After receiving greige fabric, from the initial process, a proprietary SBR-based coating is applied to improve its durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to damage during installation.
Benefits of Stratagid™
- Widths up to 18 feet which reduces installation time and costs.
- Load-bearing capacity of up to 800 kN, ensuring stability and reinforcing soil structures under heavy loads.
- Design life of up to 100 years.
Applications
- Retaining Wall
- Embankment over soft soils
- Reinforced steep soil slopes
- Vertical containment with steep slopes for landfill
