Prepared for any situation, Titan sprang into action to urgently supply a unique product for emergency environmental clean-up following a semi-truck accident in Western Manitoba. While the driver did not sustain life threatening injuries; the truck crashed through a bridge guardrail into a river—spilling its bread cargo and contaminating the waters. The Titan Boom, a unique floating geosynthetic barrier with attached curtain, was delivered to site with hours and installed spanning across the River. Upon ice melt, the Titan Boom worked as a shield to help protect the water’s ecosystem by stopping the bread load from carrying further downstream, and allowing for more efficient environmental clean-up.
